Pressed Flower Art Picture Background Class by Kate Chu

Attend the Background class at the 2005 Eastern Conference (June 9 - 12) to learn.

This class covers some simple but effective ways to create backgrounds for pressed flower art. Methods covered are soft pastel methods (dry wash, direct painting, blending) and watercolor methods (sponge, splash. Other methods will be on display including paper collage, dyed hand made paper, and fabric.  Everyone bring scratch paper and an old toothbrush.

In this example, I will show you how to use simple sponge method turn a good picture to a great picture

We will also explore how different material will give you different effect.
