WWPFG Judge Biography

 Lee Hough

Born in Waterloo, Iowa

Joined the Army and became Acting 1st Sergeant; received an Honorable Discharge upon ETA

Worked as an art teacher for a community care program for mentally disabled adolescents.

In college, worked for a degree in Art and Anthropology/Archeology

 

Lee’s Pressed Flower Credentials:

  • Pressing and designing experience since 1975

  • Co-Moderator of the Pressed-Flower Group from 1998 to 2001

  • Co-Founder of the WWPFG in 2001

  • Acted as Vice President since 2001

  • Became President in 2005

  • Taught international classes in the WWPFG

  • Judged in 2006 June Conference

Pressing and designing has been not only a passion, but an obsession for Lee since 1975.  She first learned to press from her mother, who was influenced by Princess Grace of Monaco.

Had her work sold in four states.

Her motivation is the Guild’s mission…to promote pressed flower art all over the world.
