My hobbies include rubberstamping, gardening, and pressed flowers. I purchased a microwave flower press at a rubberstamp store in 1997, and now pressed flowers are my favorite pastime! I showed all my friends how to press flowers, then began teaching classes at local craft stores and through a local college outreach program. I found a wonderful pressed flower discussion group on the internet, where I made many friends and learned a great deal more about pressing flowers. The founders of the WWPFG came from that group. I continue to teach flower pressing every chance I get, to gardening groups, 4H groups, through library programs, and in my home. I enjoy making bookmarks, cards, pictures and other items with my pressed flowers, and I sell my items, as well as a microwave flower press, at several shows in my area. |

I
was born in Peru, Illinois, the first of six children. My husband and I
have two children and three wonderful grandchildren, who all live nearby
in our small rural community. I have also driven a school bus since 1977,
and do the bookkeeping for my husband's small construction company.
