  Lee Hough

I was born, and now live in Waterloo, Iowa since 1983.  I was in the Army for three years, and stationed in Alabama, Maryland and Arizona, before moving to Massachusetts, Minnesota, and then back to Iowa.

My mother taught me how to press, in 1975.  She was inspired by an article on Princess Grace of Monaco.  My mom lost interest in pressed flowers, but hooked me on it.

I like to integrate my painted mixed media with my pressed flower art.

As one of the many co-founders of the Guild, I have learned to develop leadership skills, patience, compassion and many more ethereal qualities than just the day to day grind of life.  I have enjoyed immeasurable friendships from wonderful members, have continued my education from learned teachers, and, in general, gained from the comraderie and sharing of all the individual who make up the Guild as a whole.  I can honestly say the Guild has changed my life for the better.
